This place was perfect for celebrating my dad’s 70th birthday taking him fishing on lake Murray. The tips helped tremendously and even though my electronics went out you were able to still point me in the right direction for a successful trip. Met my brothers and Dad from Pennsylvania for a week of fishing on the Lake. Rick was an amazing host and the cottage has everything you need to be comfortable. We had an amazing week, fishing every day. As Rick states, if you run more than 4 miles from the cottage, you are just wasting gas. The best fishing proved to be within 4 miles from the dock. When you rent this cottage, you get much more than a place to stay. Rick takes a personal interest in your fishing success and provides all the professional information needed to catch fish. I would highly recommend this cottage for anybody looking to fish Lake Murray. I would also recommend it for a family to go and relax on the lake. I look forward to returning soon...

My wife and I really loved the time we spent here at Ricks. We brought our kayaks and had easy access to the lake. Rick gave us some striper fishing tips which help a lot and we did have some success, it was a great experience catching a big fish on a kayak. His place is quiet and relaxing. Rick also made sure we had everything we needed, we are surely planning on going back again. Thanks again Rick

This was our second year at Rick’s rental and we will loved it both times. Our boys loved swimming in the lake off the dock and taking the boat out fishing. The house has plenty of room for our family of 5 and our dogs and both times has been stocked with anything you need for your stay. Rick is a very nice man and we always enjoy talking with him! We are from New Jersey and the drive from here to there is well worth it!!

This was the perfect place for a guy’s getaway weekend. House was stocked with all that we needed, and if there was something we needed the owner was right there to make sure we had a great weekend. I highly recommend this place for a great fishing weekend or just sometime hanging out on the dock.

I have stayed here twice and have enjoyed my stay each time. The description is right on and the property is clean. Customer service is the best you will find anywhere. This place has more lake front shore than you could possibly use. I think you will find a game called corn hole on the porch. This will occupy a lot of your time.

We spent 2 1/2 months in SC coldest winter in decades at Rick's cottage. We loved the gas fireplace and Rick was right there with warm bedding and clothes for our dad to go fishing. For as cold as it was the fishing was great! We loved the area and are looking forward to returning next winter. We have never had such attention at a rental place. Each day Rick checked in on us and asked if we needed anything. Our springer was right at home in the large yard and loved Rick as well. Great guy and great place! You'll love it! We did!

Hello Rick, Thanks so much for our wonderful stay in the cottage at Lake Murray. Never have we had accommodations so complete. Not knowing what to expect for our first visit, we packed everything. We never unpacked anything but the food we brought. It seemed someone had left the cottage for perhaps a trip to town and we just moved in. You were the greatest host- providing fishing information and giving us hints about where on the lake to fish. Since this was our first time on the lake, the information and maps you shared with us were invaluable. We were sure to find fish. While the weather was not the best, we had a blast. We fished day and night and in the rain; but, what's a little rain? The striper fishing trip with you was awesome even in 4-foot waves and 15 mph winds. You made every effort to ensure we caught fish --- and we certainly did. You were so considerate to leave the cart for us to drive. It was such a help. Thanks also for allowing our dog Ginger to stay with us. She had a great time and loved being on the dock. Rick, we are so looking forward to returning soon. Our trip to your cottage was one of the best vacations we have ever taken, and we would recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to visit. Regards,

Burke’s Landing
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our holiday weekend stay at Rick's place. He made it easy and we loved it. The lake was beautiful and the peace and quiet really enabled us to appreciate that beauty. Thanks, Rick - we'd definitely come back!

3 guys down for four days at a bass tournament. Had a blast. House has everything we could have needed. comfortable inside but set up if you want to hang in the carport to grill, or on the screened in porch out back. Basic but very functional. Seems like you are staying at your buddy's place at the lake.

We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves in this cozy and rustic cottage on a large lot. The view was just spectacular, and the cottage had everything we needed. I (and my wiener dog Porkchop) spent a great three days at Rick's cottage on Lake Murray. Like others have said, the place is clean and roomy, with everything you need except food. I brought my boat & kept it tied to his dock (when I wasn't fishing). He gave me some locations to try while I was there. I also need to mention, he met me when I arrived, rode with me to the boat ramp & after I launched it, he brought my truck and trailer back to the cottage. Reverse that when I was ready to leave. You couldn't ask for a better host. I'm already thinking about spending a few days there in the spring.

We love renting from Rick every year. He is so helpful and can turn anyone into a fisherman! We loved the screened in porch. The house was very clean and neat. It was very roomy. We rented the pontoon again and had a wonderful time. Everything is there that you would need, just bring your food. I wish we lived closer, so we could go there more often!

My fiancé and I stayed at Rick's place from April-Sept. because we were working in the area. Decided to bring our pontoon boat, and glad we did! Private dock and with Rick's knowledge- great fishing! It was our 'home away from home' for 5 months. In the morning we drank our coffee on the back porch before work, and our weekends off we swam and fished all day. The cottage has everything you would need whether it's just a week vacation or a long-term rental. Pots, pans, dishes, utensils, linens, towels, grill, washer and dryer- all you need is food. If you do catch some striper- ask Rick about his recipe- yum!! We will definitely be back when we can take a vacation.

This is the first time that we have stayed at Rick and Randi's rental. The house was very clean. Rick was very helpful getting us settled in and answering any questions that we might have. The lake is a great place to fish and just relax. We highly recommend this to others, who want to stay on Lake Murray. The best thing we like is that you can bring your pet with you on vacation. My husband and I hope to rent again in the future.

My wife and I have stayed at this rental many times in the last 5 years. We have been here in spring, summer, fall, and for extended periods in the winter months. We keep coming back because it's comfortable, has everything we need, and is in a great location. Our dog and 4 grandkids love exploring this 6-acre point. There are not many rentals with this much outdoor space. Owners Rick and Randi are always very helpful to their guests and have become valued friends to us. Rick showed me how to catch stripers on our first visit. I still learn something new every year but do pretty good on my own now. When we leave for home we are already planning our next visit.

My family and I recently spent an amazing week at the cottage on Burke's Landing. From the moment we arrived until the moment we departed, we enjoyed every facet of Lake Murray and the surrounding area. Upon arrival, Rick and Randi ensured that we were settled in and any questions we had were answered. The cottage which is nestled on a small point with great views, was immaculately clean and had everything that we needed. Although we spent most of our time on the lake either boating or swimming, we did venture out to some of the local restaurants and the local mall which are all within a short drive. Rick was always available and always gave us tips on where and what the fish were biting which led to my youngest daughter catching her first striped bass which is a memory we will never forget. We enjoyed watching the sunrise and set every day on the dock and we enjoyed the quiet and tranquility that the cottage afforded us. We had a truly amazing time and I cannot say enough about our stay and the hospitality that Rick and Randi provided us. As a military family who have traveled extensively, we have been to few places that were as good as advertised, but our stay at Burke's Landing was far better than advertised and we will back next year to enjoy it all over again.
